Our Microgreens Large Support & Feed-The-Needy Program
This Large Support & Feed-The-Needy program is specifically designed to help facilitate the growth and expansion of Rock Soup’s microgreens program. We are offering various different levels of support, so that almost everyone can afford to help out even a little bit.
The program is very simple, and based on $1000 support units. The support payment must be completed as 2 separate payments. The breakdown of that unit is as follows. The first payment of $500 goes to Rock Soup for which a charitable donation receipt is issued to the supporter. The Second payment of $500 goes to a separate growing co-operative and will be used for the cost of growing the produce for the supporter which they can keep for themselves or choose to donate.
All Large Support & Feed-The-Needy Program Levels Include
A small welcome gift – As part of the Large Support & Feed-The-Needy program, the supporter will receive a small welcome gift of microgreens. The size of this gift is about 24 oz in size and is one of the complementary samples we routinely give out to promote the microgreens program. This small gift has no monetary value.
Charitable donation receipt – The supporter will get an official charitable donation receipt for their Donations. These official receipts can be used on their tax return to generate a tax refund on taxes they have paid. The amount of their individual refund is based on their individual tax situation. In general, an Alberta taxpayer can receive up to about a 50% tax refund (29% Federally and 21% Provincially) of their charitable donation receipt.
A 12-month membership in our Feed the Needy Program – As a member of this program, the associated growing co-operative will grow microgreens on behalf of the supporter for a maximum of 12 months and supporter will have the choice of keeping those microgreens for themselves or have those microgreens donated to another independent local foodbank on their behalf, in exchange for a charitable donation receipt from that foodbank in the supporter’s name.
And if a supporter cannot afford to donate at the Large Support & Feed-The-Needy levels, we offer a general support option, so that they can still help us out.

Platinum Supporter

Five Support Units
This level of Support covers,
the equipment expense,
the operating costs for two years,
and a miscellaneous expense,
for a complete 5 level grow rack.
Gold Supporter
$3,000
Three Support Units
This level of Support covers,
the equipment expense,
the operating costs for one year,
and a miscellaneous expense,
for a complete 5 level grow rack.
Silver Supporter
$2,000
Two Support Units
This level of Support covers,
the operating costs for one year,
and a miscellaneous expense,
for a complete 5 level grow rack.
Bronze Supporter
$1,000
One Support Unit
This level of Support covers,
the equipment expense,
for a complete 5 level grow rack.
